Appointments

We ask that all new patients provide their medical card, current address, date of birth, current phone number(s), email addresses, and next of kin/emergency contact. Patients with a history at Grandview Medical Clinic are asked to inform the office staff of any changes to their personal information.

Personal information, including mailing addresses and phone numbers, are required for the Grandview Medical Clinic and specialists' offices to contact patients regarding appointment times, procedure instructions and other correspondence. Outdated personal information may result in missed appointments, cancelled procedures, and an inability to contact you with results.

Clinic staff may ask you to provide an email address. We use email addresses for another form of contact information and to send requisitions and results as requested. All emails are sent and received through an encrypted service to ensure confidentiality.

New Patients

Grandview Medical Clinic is excited to accept new patients of all ages and medical needs. New patients are asked to schedule a Meet and Greet appointment with one of our accepting physicians.

Regular Appointments

Regular appointment slots are reserved for annual physicals, forms, follow-up appointments, pre-operative physicals, prescription refills, meet and greet visits, etc. Our family physicians are booking weeks-months in advance; we therefore encourage patients to book appointments in advance to ensure continued care.

While we encourage patients to designate a family physician, our physicians are exceptionally collaborative and are happy to share your medical management where appropriate.

Walk-In and Urgent Care Appointments

Urgent Care vs. Walk-In Appointments
Grandview Medical Clinic's walk-in operates on an acuity basis - therefore, the most sick patients get seen first. We do not schedule walk-in appointments unless directed by physicians.

Walk-in availability is dependent on how many physicians are covering walk-in each day (ex. some days there are two physicians covering walk-in; other days only one physician). While we try to accommodate patients as efficiently as possible, we ask that you are patient with wait times. Wait times differ based on the physician covering the clinic and may be increased as emergencies present to the emergency room. Walk-in physicians often have scheduled appointment running in tandem with walk-in, so please be understanding as we place patients in rooms as equitably as possible.

Please note that prescriptions refills will not be honoured on a walk-in basis. Please book an appointment with your family/prescribing physician 1-2 weeks prior to requiring prescription refills.

Urgent care appointments are considered booked appointments and are reserved for patients needing access to medical care within a few days to one week. Please contact us to book an urgent care appointment and we will do our best to book you as soon as possible.

Cancellations

We understand that life happens and circumstances may prevent you from attending your appointment. If you require a cancellation or need to reschedule your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.
